Kong Computers - Terms and Conditions
In these terms and conditions (Terms), “we” “us” and “our” refers to Kong Computers Pty Ltd. A reference to "you", "your" or "purchaser/s" means a user of this Website who may also purchase products using this Website. Your access to and use of all information on the Website as well as the purchase of our products is provided pursuant to the Terms and Conditions which apply to all users of the Website, and by using the Website and purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
All goods sold in Australia come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Refunds and Returns:
Kong Computers do not accept change of mind returns. We do offer a 30 day return if you have not opened the products boxing or broken the factory seal. We would need to be able to continue selling the product (as brand new) after it is returned to us, in order to accept a return. The buyer is to cover the return postage cost, and we recommend using insurance and tracking as any damage or loss in transit is the buyer's responsibility. Any other third-party cost, like our original courier cost of the product to the customer, cannot be recouped by us so the refund would be the full products' cost minus the initial shipping cost that we incurred (even though we provide free shipping on some orders, our shipping cost to you is between $5.50 - $33).
A restocking fee of up to 20% can be applied to recoup any extra costs required to make the returned product ready for sale again in our store. This is decided on a case by case basis and we waive this fee if the product is returned in perfect condition and ready for resale.
We do not take responsibility for any goods damaged or lost in transit when the customer sends the product back to us for warranty or return/refund. The manufacturer’s warranty may be void if the product is damaged in transit. Please ensure the product is packed appropriately for shipping before sending it back to us. If you are unsure about packing the product for return then contact us.
With a cancelled order, we can refund the entire purchase price if cancelled before the product ships out.
We recommend that you check the system requirements to ensure the purchased products are compatible with your system (and this includes software is compatible too).
However, you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem. (See points in next paragraph)
This is when the item:
- Has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it
- Is unsafe
- Is significantly different from the picture or product description
- Doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t easily be fixed
You must provide proof of purchase when returning any products. The product serial number of your returned purchase must match the serial number on our sytem when you purchased from us.
This information doesn’t limit the scope of your rights or our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law.
DOA Policy & Applying for Faulty Product Returns:
All MSI products come with a 7 day DOA policy, all other brands have a 14 day DOA policy.
All products sold on this store come with a manufacturer's warranty, and you should carefully review the details of the manufacturer's warranty to ensure that you comply with the terms and conditions of same. Kong Computers accepts no responsibility for non-compliance with the manufacturer's warranty.
The customer must contact us before sending back any item as the product may need to be sent directly to the manufacturer instead of us. We will let you know if you must contact the manufacturer directly, and if so, please make sure that you obtain a reference number during your contact with the manufacturer, so we can quote that reference number if we need to follow up on your repair with the manufacturer.
If buying a computer from Kong Computers then please check the computer before you load any personal software. A refund or return will not occur if we discover that the fault is software related, not from the original software that was pre-installed on your computer (full labour charges including delivery may occur).
Kong Computers recommends keeping any laptop or desktop's original shipping box in case of warranty claim in the future and the product requiring to be shipped back to us or the manufacturer.
Order Cancellation Due to Error or Unavailability:
Where a product has been listed at the incorrect price or with incorrect descriptive information or image due to typographical error or similar genuine mistake (hey we're only human), we reserve the right to cancel the relevant transaction and offer the product to you again at the correct price and/or with the correct information.
If your bank account has been charged, we will immediately refund your payment for the total amount debited.
Where a product is out of stock or is temporarily unavailable, we will endeavour to dispatch the product as soon as practical after we receive it from our distributors. Where a product becomes permanently unavailable, we will cancel the relevant order and will immediately refund you for the total amount debited. We will attempt to contact you to let you know before this is to occur.
Pricing and Payment Policy:
All our prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include 10% GST (Goods and Services Tax). Product prices are regularly updated when price changes are received from our suppliers. All transactions are processed in AUD.
Kong Computers offers PayPal and Bank Transfer as secure payment options. If you are wanting to make payment via Credit Card then please link your Credit Card to your PayPal account. PayPal charges us a 1.5% service fee and we oncharge this to customers at Checkout. In the "Checkout" when you select the PayPal payment option you will be transferred to the PayPal website to sign in, or register for a new account to make payment. Bank Transfer payment does not incur any surcharges 0%.
Once the order is finalised, you will receive an order confirmation email from us. If you have selected the "Bank Transfer" payment method then your order confirmation email will have our bank details on it for payment. Please contact us if you do not receive this email order confirmation (also check your email junk/spam folder). Bank Transfer payments to us clear within 1 business day, usually after midday the following day. We use ANZ Bank Australia. ANZ Bank to ANZ Bank internet banking transfers and ANZ Bank branch deposits are instant.
Goods are not shipped out until full payment is made.
PayPal Payments (Special note):
Due to PayPal’s terms and conditions, we can only ship goods to the registered address on your PayPal account. So please ensure that your order's intended delivery address and PayPal account delivery address match. If not then please add your preferred delivery address to your PayPal account prior to ordering and select that address as the "Ship to" address when placing the order through the PayPal checkout.
PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers and Parcel Collect cannot be used due to our shipping insurance and a signature required on delivery. Our couriers will not deliver to PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers and Parcel Collect for this reason.
We will only accept orders made via Australian PayPal accounts.

Shipping costs are $10 (flat rate) on orders of $289 and under, and free for orders of $290 and over. If for any reason we are unable to dispatch your order or if there will be a delay, we will notify you within 2 days.
Please offer a street address for delivery. We cannot ship products to PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers or Parcel Collect due to the shipping insurance and the signature-on-delivery service provided.
PayPal orders can only be delivered to the address selected on your registered PayPal account, as this is a PayPal terms and conditions requirement. We do not have any exceptions! This covers you the customer, and us (Kong Computers), and ensures a smooth PayPal transaction. So please ensure that the selected PayPal address and the order Delivery address match. If the addresses don't match, then we will contact you and request to either ship to the selected address on your PayPal account, or request to cancel the order and get the customer to re-order using the updated PayPal delivery address, (This sometimes happens if the customer has their PayPal address selected as their Home address, but wants the product shipped to their Work address for convenience). If this is the case then please add your Work address to your PayPal account address list and select that Work address within PayPal when in the PayPal Checkout.
If no-one is available to sign for the parcel when delivered, then a consignment note will be left at the address (check your letterbox) and it is up to the customer to contact the courier service to arrange an alternate delivery time. Some items can be left at your local Post Office for collection at your convenience with photo ID, (Metabox Startrack deliveries do this for example).
Most orders can be shipped out the same business day (unless otherwise specified on the website) if placed and paid for by 1pm that day. Tracking will be provided for your order’s delivery. Please message us on firstname.lastname@example.org to find out any products’ delivery timeframe and make sure to note your delivery postcode and what product you intend to purchase.
We aim to deliver all products within 1-3 days to most areas in Australia (overnight to most major cities). Some distant areas can take 3-7 days to deliver your package depending on location and limitations of our third party couriers. Some heavy and bulky items like Desktop Computers may take longer to deliver if your destination is in WA, NT or Far North Queensland. Your package will be shipped once the full payment of your purchase has been received by us.
If your parcel does not arrive within the specified time and there has been no activity on the tracking schedule for 4 days, then contact us and we will begin to track your parcel down. If the courier company confirms that they cannot locate the parcel or provide us with proof of delivery, then we will ship your order again.
If your parcel is damaged in transit, then do not sign for the parcel. Instead of signing the scanner, write “Damaged” instead of your signature. Please photograph the damaged parcel and email the photo to us at email@example.com within 2 business days to verify that the damage occurred while in transit.
Do not open the products’ boxing. We cannot provide returns for opened products.
Once we receive the damaged product back we will ship a replacement at no extra cost. If we cannot replace the item, then we will provide you with a full refund.
